I'm a Dad now and I made some more art...

It has been a while since the last update, and a bit of stuff has happened. Our little guy, Alistair, was born on July 11 at 5:38am; both a date and time I will never forget. While he had some trouble in the first few days, he is doing great now and we can't be happier. Oh, I have also made some art! I uploaded a poster that I had the honour of working on for a friend, as well as a few assets from a small indie game project. I will be participating in Inktober this year too, so make sure to check out my Instagram to see all of the weird and wacky stuff I'll post!

I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!!

While 2016 was a bit of a rough year for most people (e.g. Loss of so many artists, Canadian dollar dropping again, Donald Trump) it has been an great year for myself and my wife: we got married, she got a great new job, I started my search for more meaningful work and the cherry on top of it all...we are now expecting our first child. I feel very, very fortunate for this amazing blessing on our family and I'm going to do my best to be the best father I can be for little Bubb (current baby nickname/codename) and I already know that my amazing wife with be an incredible mother.

Here's to 2016, thanks for the memories! To 2017, can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!

Here is the first pass, done on Procreate on my iPad Pro. It was a great way to get used to designing on a tablet, and Procreate is definitely my art app of choice.

As my Fiancée and I enjoy the Song of Fire and Ice series quite a bit, we decided to design our own House sigil for our upcoming wedding. First step, creating a strong thumbnail and colour test.
